Collingwood Learner Driver Insurance
Learning to drive is one of the biggest achievements you'll make and Carlisle is a great place to learn.  It will give you a great deal of pleasure, as well as independence.

So what do you need?  First a provisional driving licence
, then you need to find a reputable Qualified * driving instructor, (as you are on this page you have done the second one), then you need driving lessons.  Next you will have to pass two tests, the first is a combined Theory and Hazard Perception Test, the second is your Practical Driving Test.

* You can tell the difference between a qualified driving instructor and a trainee, or even a non-qualified instructor by the badge in their car.

No Badge                        Pink Badge                        Green Badge
No Qualifications            Trainee Instructor          FULLY Qualified Instructor

The choice is yours, if your instructor charges you and does not display one of the two badges above then this is illegal.  If they display the pink one, they are two thirds of the way to qualification, but they can still fail (the hardest of the three exams).  The instructor who displays the green badge is the only one FULLY qualified.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my pupils past, present and future.
And the same to everyone else as well !
